Appetizer cake with mushrooms

Appetizer cake with mushrooms

Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into cubes. Pour into a pan and let it boil in its own juice. Until the juice left by the mushrooms has dropped completely. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool.

Meanwhile, separate the yolks from the egg whites. In a bowl, mix the yolks with the milk and oil. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift over the yolk mixture. A more consistent composition will be obtained. Separately beat the egg whites hard with a pinch of salt and incorporate into the above mixture with slow movements from top to bottom.

Cut the cheese into cubes. Stop 20 g to sprinkle over the cake during baking.

In the composition of eggs and flour add the cheese, mushrooms, dill and finely chopped parsley and mix with light movements from top to bottom. Season with salt and pepper.

Line a cake form with baking sheet and pour half of the composition. Distribute 10 olives along the tray, pour the other half and add another 10 olives. Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. 5 minutes before removing the tray from the oven, sprinkle cheese over the cake for a taste but especially for a special look.

Fluffy, tasty and beautifully colored! It seems to me that the mixture of colors makes it even more appetizing.

In the original recipe there were 10g of baking powder but I cut it in half because I thought it was a lot for 250g of flour plus I didn't want to feel the taste of baking powder in the dough.

  • 200 gr of cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 5 tablespoons flour

Whisk the egg whites and place over the mixture above. Homogenize carefully, then add flour and baking powder. Great care in the mixture, it should be done slowly, until all the ingredients with flour penetrate. Everything is poured into a cake tin, lined with baking paper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. The fire is left as appropriate as possible and is checked at the end with the toothpick. Allow to cool in the form, remove and cut into slices. It is absolutely delicious. Good appetite!

Appetizer cake with mushrooms

We all ate traditional Easter dishes as children. Drob, eggs, marinated fish or sweet cheese. For this year's Easter meal, we recommend a less common dish for an aperitif: mushroom appetizer cake.

Ingredients and quantities:

250 g mushrooms
2 onions
2 tablespoons oil
200 g cheese
3 eggs
1 tablespoon flour
2 bunches of greenery
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs for the tray
salt
pepper.

Method of preparation:

1. To start, you need to wash and clean the mushrooms and onions. The next step is to cut the mushrooms into slices and chop the onion. Then, put them in a bowl in which you fry them in oil, then turn off the heat and let them cool.

2. In another bowl, grate the cheese and mix it with 2 beaten eggs, and finely chop the greens.
After the mushrooms have cooled, mix them with the greens, cheese and flour. Sprinkle salt and pepper over them and, pour the entire resulting composition, into a cake pan, which you have previously greased with butter and covered with breadcrumbs.

3. Beat the remaining egg with a little salt and place it on top of the composition in the pan. Finally, put the cake in the oven for about 25 minutes.

4
. After it is ready, let it cool and then cut it into slices.
